Hyacinth in a bottle

This little bottle 

covered in wax 

and wrapped with a tiny ribbon 

had been hiding in 

a cupboard for years.

Today, I remembered it

when I needed a small vase.

JOY!

It wasn't designed

to be a vase, but I think

it serves that purpose well.

I remember when it was a candle holder

- beeswax drips-

The little black ribbon with a 

-thank you-

from when it was used in a wedding party.

This bottle is like us. Perhaps we were designed 

for one purpose but low and behold;

here we are doing so much more. 

The purposes of a person’s heart are deep waters, 

but one who has insight draws them out. Proverbs 20:5

It's beautiful and smells so good.
