Sautéed Apples
Crunch Time Meal
My brother once said I would be a great short-order cook
because I'm pretty speedy when it comes to putting a meal on the table.
For instance, this meal took 15 minutes tops, and it was on the table ready to enjoy.
Sautéed Apples
Two Small Gala Apples
(that's what I had, but any kind will work)
2 Tablespoons - Dried Cranberries
2 Tablespoons - Chopped Walnuts
1 Teaspoon - Olive Oil
(serves two)
Heat the olive oil then add diced apples.
(I used my mother's little iron skillet ... It's perfect for making meals for two. )
Sauté the apples for a minute or two
add in the dried cranberries and walnuts.
Continue to sauté until the apples are tender.
This like most of my recipes isn't set in stone.
(I tend to use whatever is on hand so things do get switched up from time to time.)
SMELLED YUMMY!
I paired the apples with some lettuce, making a simple Harvest Salad
Seeds of Change Quonia & Brown Rice (took 90 seconds to prepare)
and a small grilled pork chop. (done in minutes)
Nothing fancy but it was delicious!
Seriously, we are trying our best to eat healthily but
it definitely takes a commitment to prepare home-cooked meals.
All I can say is, we're trying.
Not even sure how long we'd had that quinoa before actually using it.
LOL
Do you have any amazing tips for us?
Blessings,
Geneva
