Old-Fashioned Beef Stew
It's been cold and rainy here and the last thing
Buzz said before we went to bed last night was -
"Let's make stew tomorrow."
This is the basic recipe we've modified from both of our moms.
- something you need to know -
it changes a little bit each time we make it.
😉
It all depends on what we have on hand.
The flavor punch from this stew comes from that little bay leaf ... it's always a must!
Sometimes we use BIG CHUNKY pieces,
but today's version - small bite-size pieces.
Plenty for us and Plenty to share.

I was thinking about you today and how inspiring your blog is. Imagine my happy surprise when I saw a new post. Your stew recipe is quite close to our Mulligan Stew. There isn't anything as comforting as the smell and taste of stew on a cold blustery day. Comfort food in these trying times.
ReplyDeleteTheresa, thank you so much for your sweet comment - It has been so great to connect again. There is nothing like a good stew - I love the name "Mulligan Stew" Love it! Have a blessed day, friend!
DeleteOh it looks so good! I wish I had found this yesterday. I used a pkg mix. It was not so good!
ReplyDeleteI will use your recipe next time!
Oh, I bet you make an amazing stew! Truly, such an easy meal and so comforting on a cold day. Blessings, friend!
