Memorial Day - May we never forget

Gratitude
WE REMEMBER
Thank You!
"The Star Spangled Banner"
Oh!
thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home
and the war’s desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the
heav’n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is
just,
And this be our motto: “In God is our trust.”
And the
star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O’er the land of the
free and the home of the brave!
(Francis
Scott Key, 1814)
That is just perfect and lovely Geneva. I love how you edited your son's photo. So thankful for those who sacrifice so much, sometimes eveb their lives to protect and keep us free. Hope your Memorial Day has been blessed.

I was in Holland and visited the cemetery of American soldiers. I checked the age of the soldiers who had given their lives - many not even twenty. I told those around me, "They came here and gave their lives. They came here with nothing to win for themselves." As a Canadian I am very proud of our American neighbours. When there is trouble in the world, Americans are there helping immediately. May we always be good friends and neighbours and always be there for each other and protect each other when needed.
