Ho! Ho! Ho! - Joy! Joy! Joy!
Buzz and I decided to be a little playful with our decorations this year.
That's why we brought out our Santa's for the first time in about ten years.
It's been fun seeing their faces again ... especially this group
- Buzz carved them and I painted them.
WAY back in the 90s
Our house isn't TOUR worthy,
But we're enjoying the playfulness this year.
I even like my "homemade" ribbon
made from fabric scraps that look
very Christmassy
(is that a word?)
At any rate...
I hope you're enjoying
your
Christ'mas Season
as much as we are ours,
and spreading a little
Joy
wherever you go!
Blessings!

I think you collection is "tour worthy" I am a great follower of all of your Pins. I collect Tall Santa's, that's what I call them. I bring them out first thing every year.. They are hard to find and I haven't found one this year yet.. Thanks for sharing you wonderful collection of Folkart Santa's.. KathyR.
ReplyDeleteThank You Kathy...We enjoy our Santa's too and I'm not sure why we haven't had them out in so many years. Folk Art Santa's aren't as popular as they once were...I hope you find a treasure this year.
DeleteI'll see you on Pinterest...my favorite place for inspiration :)
Sorry I can not spell.. "you" should be Your.. two times I did that.. Wow..

Oh, Geneva, your carved Santas are wonderfully detailed and sure to be family heirlooms created by the two of you! I have 3 Santas my sister carved for me back in the 90's and they are a few of my most cherished possessions. I'm glad you decided to bring them out this year and enjoy them again!
ReplyDeleteI've been a bit overwhelmed by the house tours out there this year. It would take weeks to visit all the blogs, and after a while they all start to blur together. I love visiting blogs like yours that tell a story about something meaningful you've decorated your home with. Thanks for sharing today!
These Santa's are just amazing, the work involved. I have a few that a friend gave me and I always called them my "Old World Santa's'" Really beautiful, Geneva, I'm glad you brought them out this year and could share. And I love that last picture!! Inspiring! :)

oh how delightful your santas are. You are wrong - your home is quite tour worthy. As I looked at the Santas I could see all of the talent, time and love that went into each one.
ReplyDeleteGeneva,
ReplyDeletePlease read my post tonight. Thank you, dear.
Love,
~Sheri
Your home is eminently tour-worthy. I've paid to tour many, many houses that aren't as wonderful as yours.
ReplyDeleteWonderful decorations!
