Chalkboard - A Summer Day Project
Do you like Chalkboards?
I sure do!
That's why I was pretty excited when I got the idea for this one.
(Actually, when this idea came to me, I just smiled and said Thank You)
He always knows what gives me Joy!

Wondering what's it made out of ?
We had gotten a (free) coffee table several months ago and even though we liked it,
we both decided it was just to big for our small space.
Buzz removed the top, then I did my part.
We Love The Way It Looks!
and are thinking of all the fun ways we can use it
what would you write on it?
Time to Party
(Hope you'll come along)
Oh- That looks great, Geneva. Write on it? How about Geneva is a Genuis!!!! lol xo Diana

I think Summer Days was the perfect thing to write on it for now! Just think of all the possibilities though...:)
DeleteThank you Vicky! The possibilities are endless... We're going to have so much fun!
DeleteI love its size! Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't have guessed a coffee table top but I love it!
ReplyDeleteI think it looks wonderful! What a great idea! My daughter is looking for something to write on hers, too! lol!
ReplyDeleteXO,

Thank You Dottie ... Always appreciate you stopping by!
DeleteI have chalkboards made from old mirrors - I would have NEVER have thought of using the top of a coffee table!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's spectacular - love love love it !!!
COFFEE served here would be great on it LMHO
XOXO
What a great re-purpose. The shape is perfect, evokes French country style. I think I would write "Joie de Vivre", (the joy of living or exultation of spirit). That is the embodiment of your home.

Thank You Theresa ... "Joie de Vivre" is a wonderful idea for my new chalkboard!!!
DeleteWow was that creative or what!? I love it and the ideas are endless.
ReplyDeleteOh, I absolutely adore this! Racking my brain, trying to figure out where I can "find" one....
ReplyDeleteI might write, "....asi es la vida", Spanish for, such is the life. Then again, "How do I love thee...let me count the ways...", because, what's not to love about it?
Oh any number of lines from It's a Wonderful Life (for Christmas) ...
ReplyDelete"Is he sick? ...No. Worse. He's discouraged."
OR
"Youth is wasted on the wrong people."
OR
"Remember George, 'no man is a failure who has friends."
Just a few... I enjoy that movie, can you tell?
~Pat
...Nice work by the way on your chalkboard. :)

ReplyDeleteI love this idea! Great curvy frame for free! On my chalkboard in July it said 'sweet land of liberty' I think I'll change it to Summer Days now. Mimi
ReplyDeleteBliss that is the word I would put on the chalkboard if it were in my home. I love our blog. So many great ideas. Thanks for sharing our knowledge. I'll soon be tackling painting mobile home cabinets with wood door but other stuff elswhere. Yours looks great.
