Christmas in McKinney & Our Anniversary
"If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day so I never have to live without you."
- A.A. Milne, Winnie-the-Pooh
~
Buzz and I celebrated our 44th wedding anniversary today.
Has it really been that long?
It seems like only yesterday that we met for the first time.
He had just gotten back from Vietnam
and I had just started my first "real" job.
He was twenty-two and I was twenty.
... It was love at first sight.
Really!
Today we celebrated by spending the afternoon in McKinney
This book store was his favorite
and I couldn't pick just one...
It was the kind of day we both enjoy
and we've hated to see it end.
~
Buzz found this on our way out this morning.
He liked it because it's shaped like a heart.

ReplyDeleteOh Geneva I didn't realize we're almost neighbots. I noticed you are in McKinney then noticed you said Texas. I am in DFW too. I have always enjoyed visiting you. I have never shopped there. Well at least not antiqueing I went once years ago with friends to a quilt shop on the Main St. (I think) we ate at an eatery across the street. Looks like I have missed some great shops. My Cowboy and I like to shop mostly window shop in downtown Grapevine. Haven't made it yet this holiday season. He was sick and now it is tooo cold! Maybe the end of the week before the decorations start coming down! Thanks for sharing. Congratulations on your anniversary. Have a wonderful New Year!
