Considering Christmas Decorating
Most of our ornaments have been around for years ...
they sleep in crates and hat boxes until Christmastime.
It's always fun to see them from year to year,
but they don't all get to come out and play.
My favorites are the ones my kids made in school ...
with glitter and glue
with glitter and glue
I especially like the paper ones ...
Ephemera is my weakness
The Reason for the Season
I'll get around to decorating later this week...
I'm still pondering...
Haven't made up my mind just what I want to do...
Hummm
This is so NOT like me!

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for stopping by 21 Rosemary Lane. Your blog is beautiful too, love the old ornaments. They seem to be very popular this year. I just wanted to say hello and wish you a wonderful day.
Your newest follower...
You have so many wonderful decorations. That is a great way to store them. Cant wait to see them up.
ReplyDeleteI love ephemera, as well and spent several minutes looking at the box full of your treasures. Gorgeous ornaments. I have not started to decorate because I keep hearing in my head.. "What goes up must come down." That is the part that I just dislike most.
ReplyDeleteI will always use my children's ornaments {even the ones that are falling apart with age!}, right along side my vintage and expensive ones. They are the key to my heart!

Sounds like me - and my little tree has gone MIA! xo
ReplyDeleteYour ornaments are so pretty...I think that what makes our ornaments so special is that once we begin collecting them that very first Christmas...we hang onto them forever and they hold a lot of special memories for us...looks like these do that for you :) Can't wait to see your Christmas decorations...
ReplyDeleteBig hugs,
Queenie
I love your gorgeous boxes. It is so wonderful to be able to choose a different theme each year - certainly looks as though you have a lot of choices before you!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful collection of Christmas...I can understand your dilemma in trying to decide which ones to use...keep us updated.
ReplyDeleteGeneva, I look forward to seeing which decorations you choose to use this year.
ReplyDeleteI just did a post where I awarded you the Liebster Blog award. You can see what to do on my website.

Thanks for stopping by my blog; happy to meet you and see your sweet collections of past Christmas; me, too, my faves are the ones my kids made me years ago--don't they still make you smile and warm your heart!
ReplyDeleteWonderful ornaments, looks like some nice vintage ones in there too! I am like you, I don't use all of my decorations every year either. I rotate the themes somewhat. Just keeps them more interesting. Look forward to seeing what you use this year.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your sweet comment on my blog. My "blue" mood has passed! I enjoyed seeing the photos of your Christmas decorations. You have a beautiful collection! Have a good weekend.
