Patina Adds Character...
Almost everything in our home has Patina
...for instance...
This little horse ... a 1920's toy has lived with us for several years...
Our kids, grand daughter and even visiting children
have ridden him with glee.. he has a lovely gait!
The old boxes hold Christmas ornaments ...
safe and sound for each holiday season.
When nicely stacked, they also serve as a night stand.
(I might show them to you again at Christmas..)
They are just as pretty inside!
We bought this little guy intending to sell him...
but he never made it to the store.
He just makes us feel happy!
Even though it's the people who give our home it's soul
these little things and everything else
with lovely patina
are what
gives
it
Character!

What unique pieces you have- so many beautiful things to look at. Thanks for stopping by Uber Savvy too! Lynda
ReplyDeleteI totally understand. I keep my old family pieces not because they are valuable or "in style", but because they hold so many memories.
